"Not really what I expected"
I’m not sure if I misunderstood the listing or just expected too much, but the item I got didn’t really match the description. It looked different in person and felt a lot cheaper than what was shown, so I was disappointed...

"Had to keep chasing them"
I tried getting in touch about my order and the customer service was useless. Replies took ages, and when they did respond it felt like a copy-paste answer that didn’t actually help. I had to keep chasing them and asking the same thing over and over, which got really frustrating. Not an experience I want to repeat, so I won’t be ordering from Monticello Shop again.

"Not a ton of gift options"
I mean, it was okay, but there just wasn’t much to choose from in terms of gifts. I kind of expected a bit more variety, you know, so it felt a little limited when I was trying to pick something out

"I felt a little silly trying to figure out what was actually made in the USA"
I ordered from this shop because I thought it was focused on made-in-USA products, and I felt kind of embarrassed afterward when I realized I wasn’t totally sure what I’d actually bought. The product pages didn’t make the origin details very clear, and I had to click around way more than I expected just to find basic sourcing info.

Maybe I missed something, but for a store like this, I really expected the made-in-USA details to be easier to understand. It left me frustrated and a bit annoyed with myself for not digging deeper before ordering, so I probably won’t buy from them again.

so I tried to return my order after it didn’t really work out for me, but the whole process was way more confusing than it needed to be. The instructions weren’t clear, and it took a while to get any kind of response.

By the time someone got back to me, I still wasn’t sure if I could do an exchange or what my options were. frustrating, and I probably wouldn’t order again unless they make the return info easier to understand.

"Am I the only one who thought the history felt off?"
Am I the only one who felt like the history was a little off? It wasn’t terrible or anything, but some parts just didn’t seem quite right to me. I kept noticing little things that made it hard to fully get into it.

"Unexpected costs messed up my plans"
I wasn’t too happy with how pricing worked on monticelloshop.org. At first, everything seemed reasonable, so I started planning around what I thought the total would be. Then extra costs showed up later, and it just threw everything off. I had to rethink my plans because the final price wasn’t clear from the start. I’d much rather see the full cost upfront instead of clicking through a bunch of steps and getting surprises at the end.

"Said it was in stock, but apparently wasn’t"
I placed an order because the site showed the item was available, but later I found out it wasn’t actually in stock. Not sure if it was a system delay or what, but it was frustrating since I’d already been waiting and planning around it. Would’ve been better if the inventory was updated before letting the order go through.

"Kind of Regret Even Bothering"
I wish I hadn’t wasted so much time on this site. It was just frustrating from the start — pages loaded really slowly for me, and the menu felt all over the place. I kept having to click around just to find basic things. Checkout wasn’t any better either. Some of the buttons weren’t clear, and I couldn’t even tell if my cart had updated properly. After a while, I just gave up and felt like I should’ve gone somewhere else from the beginning

"Why is it so hard to tell what things are made of?"
I was browsing monticelloshop.org and got frustrated because the material info just wasn’t clear. A few items looked nice, but I kept having to dig around and still couldn’t tell what they were actually made of. It feels like such a simple detail to include, but somehow it turned into a guessing game.

For the prices, I really expected better descriptions before buying. I don’t want to judge fabric or quality just from photos and hope for the best. Maybe some people don’t mind, but for me, not being upfront about the materials makes it hard to feel comfortable ordering

"Wrong items showed up, and one was missing"
My order arrived with the wrong items, and one thing I paid for wasn’t even in the box. I reached out by email, but it took way too long to get it sorted. I get that mistakes happen, but it’s only fair to pack people’s orders correctly or fix the issue quickly when something goes wrong. Frustrating overall, and I probably won’t order again unless they improve how they handle packing.

"Photos were not accurate at all"
The pictures made this look a lot better than it is in person. The colors were different, the finish looked cheaper, and the shape/size just didn’t match what I thought I was getting.

I know screens can make colors look a little off, but this felt like more than that. I mainly bought it because of the photos, it was disappointing, and I probably wouldn’t order again unless they update the pictures.

"Refund took forever"
The refund took way longer than I expected. I kept checking my account, then wondering if I needed to contact support again, and it just felt like the whole process dragged on. The product issue was one thing, but waiting that long to get my money back was really frustrating...

"Not as eco-friendly as I hoped"
I’ll admit I tend to pay close attention to the sustainability side of things, so that’s what stood out to me right away. I couldn’t really find clear info about their eco practices, and the packaging felt a bit excessive. Maybe others wouldn’t notice it as much, but for me it was disappointing and not quite what I expected from them.

"Wanted to support the mission, but it felt unclear"
I ordered because I genuinely wanted to support the mission, but i wasn’t sure where my money was actually going. Isn’t that kind of the whole point when you’re buying to support a cause? The shopping experience ended up being disappointing, and I was expecting clearer communication. I probably wouldn’t order again unless they do a better job explaining how the mission support actually works

Am I the only one who thinks an order should arrive with more than a thin box and barely any padding? The corners were crushed when it showed up, and one of the items had little dents in it. For the price I paid, I expected it to be packed a lot better. Disappointing overall...

"Shipping took forever"
I ordered from monticelloshop.org thinking it would show up in a few days, but... yeah, that definitely didn’t happen. The shipping was way slower than I expected, and after a while it just got frustrating.
The tracking barely updated too, which made it worse. I kept checking it like, okay, where is this thing actually? But there wasn’t much info, so I was basically just waiting around with no clue what was going on.

It did finally arrive, but by that point I didn’t even need it anymore. Disappointing overall, i probably wouldn’t order again if the shipping is always like this.

"Promo codes didn’t really work for me"
so I ended up checking out monticelloshop.org mainly because I came across a promo code online and figured I’d give it a try. But when I got to checkout, the code just wouldn’t work and only came up as invalid, without much explanation.

I tried a second code too, thinking maybe the first one was just old or typed wrong, but the same thing happened again. Maybe they were expired, but it would’ve been nice if the site made that clearer instead of leaving me guessing.
The store itself seemed okay overall, so I’m not saying it was a bad experience completely. But the promo code part felt kind of unreliable, and I’d definitely double-check before assuming any discount is going to apply there.

"Sorta Disappointed"

"Payment was easy… except it really wasn’t"
I liked the idea of the checkout and it seemed straightforward at first, but then I couldn’t actually use my card. The payment options felt really limited, even though the rest of the process was kind of smooth. So I guess it was convenient in some ways, but also frustrating when it came time to actually pay
